House Sitting in Gloucester with Chelsea
Housesitting in Gloucester
We have now been housesitting for a couple of years and have had the pleasure of housesitting in Gloucester with Chelsea twice. We love the experience that housesitting brings, our post 3 reasons why we house sit will explain why.
The pet
Chelsea is a border terrier crossed with a norfolk terrier and looks just like the dog on the Cameron Diaz film the holiday.
Chelsea was so easy going, obedient, and such great company. We soon found out that licking faces is one of her favourite things. She so enjoyed a lot of fuss, loved playing with her ball, going for long walks, she was a joy to look after.
The property
The house was a middle terrace and had had been designed with the bedroom downstairs and the lounges upstairs. This was a great idea as from the upstairs windows you had a great view of the street below where Chelsea could sit in her favourite chair and watch the world go by. It had all the mod cons, was comfortable with a small garden.
The location
In our home city of Gloucester, within walking distance of the centre. We obviously know Gloucester well, however, we did discover two new things. Firstly, Crickley Hill Country Park which is part of the National Trust and has some wonderful walks and great views over the gloucestershire countryside. We had never been here, and had a lovely afternoon walking with Chelsea.
Secondly, we had the best baked BBQ chicken from a little takeaway just around the corner from the house! Gloucester is a great place to visit and the docks are worth a visit, the area is being redeveloped and is now a vibrant area of the city. It houses different events and festivals, including the Food Festival.
We have already been booked for another visit later in the year, and look forward to housesitting in Gloucester with Chelsea again.
References from Chelsea’s Owner
‘From the initial planning to actually taking care of my dog Chelsea I felt very confident
in Carole and Paul. They were were very professional, friendly and covered every aspect of concern prior to me leaving to go on my holiday. I was also so pleased to receive emails from Carole on a daily basis about the welfare of my dog and basically “a thumbs up” that everything was fine back at my house. I would put my trust in Carole and Paul at any time and would highly suggest to other people to do the same.’
‘Carole and Paul have taken care of Chelsea for the second time now, and once again
were totally reliable, confident,and reassuring.
Whilst I’m away I feel totally assured that Chelsea is having a positive experience with Carole and Paul.
Chelsea enjoys their company so much, I’m sure it will not be very long before she refuses to come home with me!’
