We love travel photography and have been active on Instagram since April 2015. It is a great forum for showcasing your photography skills but also for gaining information and networking with like minded individuals. We have enjoyed seeing our follower count and number of engagements increase, although after reading this nitreo review we realise we could have done this quicker. After all, this is what social media is all about. We have really enjoyed putting this post together of Paul and Carole’s Instagram Top 10 Photos of 2016.

We have now cruised 11 times and get away with our 80 year old Dad’s when we can. This photo was taken on a cruise this summer along the Adriatic Coast. The Island of Korcula, in Croatia was beautiful and this shot was taken from the tender as we were taken ashore from the Thomson Celebration Cruise Ship. We were on a cruise to the Canary Islands on the Independence of the Seas and one of the ports of call was Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. This building was just opposite the port, we loved the colours of the building and the unusual nose from an airplane in the background, so couldn’t refuse a shot. You can read about our cruising adventures here.

We visited Koh Talu a tiny island off the coast of Thailand and found this swing on the beach. We spent one night here and it is still probably the closest we have got to having that Robinson Crusoe experience, it was superb. We have visited Thailand many times and you can read about our experiences here.

As a special treat for my 50th birthday we stayed at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. This photo was taken in the Marina Bay area where the famous Merlion statue can be found. Singapore is a fantastic place and we would definitely recommend a visit. Our stay at the Marina Bay Sands still remains one of the best nights of our lives, you can read all about that here.

The mythical Merlion with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. The body symbolises Singapore's beginnings as a fishing village and the head represents Singapore's original name Singapura or lion city in Malay. It can be found in the Marina Bay area. We loved our time in Singapore. #merlion #singapore

This was taken on a night out in Cheltenham only 6 miles away from our home city of Gloucester. We were heading to the Taylors Pub to listen to some live music and witnessed this fantastic sunset. The added bonus was the car that came round the corner just as the photo was taken.
