Marella Cruise & Stay Holidays

This post is sponsored by Marella Cruises

What’s better than a cruise? How about a cruise with a land-based holiday thrown in! Sound good? Then this post will definitely interest you.

Marella Cruises offer a fantastic range of Cruise & Stay, as well as Stay & Cruise, options with over 100 hotels to choose from including adult-only and family friendly hotels.

Most cruises offer 3, 4 or 7 night post-cruise stays, giving you the perfect end to your Marella cruise. Or, you can start your holiday with a 7-night pre-cruise stay.

In this post we explain, with examples, what type of Cruise & Stay holidays are available and, just like a Marella cruise, these Cruise & Stay deals include flights and transfers too!

Majorca Cruise & Stay Deals

Here are some examples of Cruise & Stay options for next year’s sailings.

Let’s start with the ‘Treasures of the Mediterranean’, a 7-night cruise sailing on Marella Voyager. Marella’s newest ship is sailing from Palma, Majorca visiting Olbia in Sardinia then Naples in Italy, ideal for visiting Capri and Pompeii. Next port is Civitavecchia in Italy, ideal for visiting Rome, then Ajaccio in Corsica, and Spain for Palamos before returning to Palma.

With this cruise there are 27 hotels  available for a post-cruise stay. Here is a cross section with prices suitable for a lower budget, ending with options for those that have more to spend.

We have also found examples that actually cost less than just booking a cruise-only holiday.

Hotel Son Baulo, Ca’n Picafort, Majorca – Staying on a half board basis in a twin balcony room, this hotel features beautiful coastal views and nighttime entertainment. For a 3-night post-cruise stay at this 3-star plus hotel, you will actually save £55 per person! Yes, you have read that right, it’s £55 per person less than just booking the cruise on its own. Incredibly, if you stay for 4 nights, it’s even cheaper! With prices coming in at £59 per person cheaper than the cruise-only deal.

A 7-night post-cruise stay costs from as little as £183 per person on top of your standalone cruise price, but if you fancy doing the land-based portion first it will cost from £295 per person.

Holiday Village, Callor Millor, Majorca – Staying in a 1-bedroom apartment with a balcony at this 5-star hotel on an all inclusive basis, with free shuttles to the beach and a kids splash zone. This is the perfect choice for a family holiday.

A 3-night post-cruise add on will cost from £101 per person and from £139 per person for 4 nights. A 7-night add on will cost from as little as £300 per person on top of your standard cruise fare.

A 7-night pre-cruise stay will cost from £322 per person for this all-inclusive 5-star hotel.

TUI Blue Sensatori Biomar, Sa Coma, Majorca – Staying in a junior suite with a balcony on an all inclusive basis. This hotel is just 15 minutes from the beach with 24 hour all inclusive service and separate zones for families and adults.

A 3-night post cruise add on will cost from just £160 per person on top of your standard Marella cruise fare. A 4-night post cruise stay starts from £242 per person and a 7 night add on is just £680 per person for this all-inclusive 5-star hotel.

A 7-night pre cruise stay will cost from £801 per person on top of your standard cruise fare.

Globales Santa Lucia, Palma Nova, Majorca – This adults-only hotel is right on the beach and is situated in the centre of Palma Nova. Here you can stay in a sea view twin room with a balcony on a half board basis.

A 3-night post cruise stay will cost from just £29 per person on top of your cruise fare and from just £43 per person extra for 4 nights.

A 7-night post cruise will cost from just £333 per person on top of your standard cruise fare and a 7-night pre cruise stay will cost from just £455 per person.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after our Marella Voyager cruise and it was the perfect end to a fabulous trip. Disembarkation day can be depressing when you are getting off the ship and flying home, but the feeling of knowing we still had 3 days to enjoy was fabulous.
